Camping?

So, I’ve been wondering for quite some time if I should go camping with a few of my friends. I know this really nice wooded area, it’s quite big, and there’s a camping a few camping grounds next to it. The camping ground I really want to go to is one people don’t usually go to, it’s quite isolated but then again I kind of like the quiet.

The reason I don’t usually go is because I either chicken out because one of my friends tell me scary stories about what happen to people when they go camping or I just generally can’t find the time.

I’m asking because some of you reading may have gone camping, and I’d like some advice on whether I should go or not, especially to a kind of isolated campground. (A few people go there, few and far between, but the majority of people go to the other campgrounds and are usually full when I go.)

So, a few years back I used to HATE how I looked. I got picked on every day at school, for having freckles, for having spots, and so on. I used to feel truly sick to my stomach every time I looked in the mirror.

I’ve never been liked in school. I keep to myself, mind, I’m not one of those gobby, gossipy girls. To be quite honest, I wouldn’t insult anyone even if I didn’t like them! To this day, I still get picked on and I get told I’m ugly and I should kill myself, but that’s off topic, and it doesn’t faze me.

Recently I’ve started to like the way I look, since I’ve gone through puberty and I’m not as baby faced and I have a figure. But people have picked up on it and say to me “You’re so vain, you think you’re beautiful, you’re so fake” and I’ve realised something very important – People will find something wrong with you regardless of what you think of yourself.

So all I’m saying is, if you love yourself, then you show the world how beautiful you are. And if you don’t, just know that people don’t see you the way you see yourself. When you look in the mirror, all you might see is someone ugly, worthless. But to other people you are SO much more than that. So get your pretty clothes on, do your hair and feel beautiful! Because I’ve realised life is so much better when you feel like a million dollars.
